Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd
1. These Premier Security and Fire Consultants Limited Terms and Conditions shall be incorporated as a document forming part of the Order issued by the customer. In the event of any conflict between the customer’s order and these Terms and Conditions, these Terms and Conditions shall take precedence.
2. All prices are nett and exclusive of VAT unless exempt.
3. Unless specifically stated, the quotation does not include for provision of power, access control equipment or cabling.
4. The sizes stated in the quotation are approximate only and subject to site survey of finished openings prior to production of drawings and fabrication works commencing. Where site surveys are not feasible, dimensions provided by the client which differ from on site sizes, preventing Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd from completing installation of works, Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd will not be held responsible for any consequential rectification costs arising.
5. We require our quotation to be incorporated into an agreed order, with a signed approval, before any associated order processing can commence.
6. Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd reserve the right to amend the quotation value preceding the fixed price period stated in the quotation to reflect changes in material costs. Longer fixed terms are available on request and will be stated in the quotation if applicable.
7. A standard Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd RAL colour finish – Black RAL 9005, Green RAL 6005, Blue RAL 5015, Grey RAL 7016 and White-Hipca RAL 9910 – and texture is allowed for unless stated otherwise within our quotation.
8. It is the responsibility of the customer to check the details of the quotation to ensure the offer is compliant with the specification / requirements of the main contract.
9. Premier advises that doorstops should be considered for installation to every door unit. Please note that while doorstops are not included in the quotation (unless stated), they can be provided at an additional cost upon request.
10. Unless stated otherwise, the following works are not included as part of the quotation:
10.1. Builders work or making good after install.
10.2. Silicone /mastic works back to structural openings on any new build projects.
10.3. EPDM and metal flashings.
10.4. Electrical connections and mains power to electric strikes, locks, magnetic locks and intercom panels. Deemed to be contracted by others.
10.5. Supply & installation of automated closers, safety sensors and hinge finger guards.
10.6. Commissioning of automated closers and safety sensors.
11. Supply and install quotations assume that all structural openings are fully prepared and structurally sound to accept Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd’s framework. Standard metsec / stud partitioning systems will not be accepted as a suitable substrate to fix units manufactured by Premier.
12. Craneage, forklift / heavy lifting equipment, full access and power facilities will be provided at no cost to Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd.
13. Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd have assumed installation of all units would be undertaken in a single continuous site visit. Additional site visits will be charged at £1,200 per van / team per visit unless agreed otherwise with an additional quotation.
14. Unless agreed otherwise, delayed visits for installation of glazing / infills will be deemed an extra visit and will be charged at £1,200 per van / team to the client.
15. If openings are not fully prepared and ready to receive our units upon arrival on site, Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd hold the right to abort the installation with a fee of £1,200 per van / team to be charged.
16. Unless stated otherwise, reasonable protection of newly installed unit(s) will be done by others. Any damage caused to the unit(s) with reasonable protection will not be Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd’s responsibility.
17. All newly installed unit(s) will be photographed and documented at each stage of the installation. If a signed approval from a responsible person of the client is not available on site, Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd will send a digital version of the photographs and installation documents to be signed by the responsible person of the client. If a signed approval is not received from the responsible person of the client by the end of the following working day after the installation date, Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd will assume the installed unit has been formally approved.
18. Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd can offer a supply only service providing the client takes full responsibility for the installation and any associative works. This includes operability of the door, damage to components on site and maintenance works.
19. Payment terms are subject to credit checks which shall be carried out prior to acceptance of order. Pro forma invoices may be issued at Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd’s discretion.
20. Premier reserves the right to revert to proforma payment terms during the course of the project if changes to the credit rating necessitate such an adjustment.
21. Payment is due at the date of invoice. The final date for payment is 30 days from the date of our invoice. We reserve the right to charge interest in accordance with the provisions of the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (interest) Act on invoices which are not paid within 30 days of the date of invoice.
22. Acceptance of L.A.D.’s or claims of consequential loss are not accepted unless previously agreed in writing by Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd prior to acceptance of order.
23. All components / units supplied and installed by Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd shall remain the property of Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd until invoice has been paid in full. Should an invoice in respect of any units supplied and installed remain unpaid at the final date for payment, as set out at Clause 19, Premier Security and Fire Consultants Limited shall give a notice to this effect. If the said invoice remains unpaid upon the expiry of this seven-day period, we reserve the right to re-enter the site to remove and re-possess the installed units without further notice.
24. If the client wishes to cancel an order, all costs associated with carrying out the works and ordering of material, between the placement of order and cancelation date, by Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd will be charged to the client.
25. We never will sell, purchase, provide, exchange or in any other manner disclose Account or Transaction data, or personal information of or about a Cardholder to anyone, except, it’s Acquirer, Visa/Mastercard Corporations or in response to valid government demands.
26. We don’t offer refund possibilities for our designed products and all purchases are final.
27. Structural supporting steelwork or timber surrounds are excluded unless stated otherwise in the quotation.
28. Unless stated otherwise, where manual door closers are quoted, Premier cannot guarantee an opening force of less than 30N, if this is required an automated door closer should be used in place of the manual closer and will need be notified to Premier prior to quotation being accepted or replaced as a
variation to the order. Changing closers at a later date could impact the cost of the door and possibly any paint warranty.
29. The quotation allows for one set of visualisation drawings, plus one set of revisions & a final set for approval (per drawing ref). Detailed 3D drawings can be provided at an additional cost which will be determined on complexity and time required to draw.
30. If the scope of works is changed or needs to be re-designed, Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd would require a written instruction for the variation and agreement in writing of our subsequent quotation for the varied works before commencing upon same.
31. When revisions are requested, up to three revisions per unit type may be carried out free of charge at Premier Security & Fire Consultant Limited’s discretion. Beyond three revisions per unit type, every subsequent revision will be charged at £200 per unit type.
32. Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd will require confirmation and acceptance of our proposed details in the form of individual signed off drawings prior to fabrication works commencing.
33. Any warranty given on products supplied by Premier Security & Fire Consultants Ltd will immediately become void should repairs or adaptations be carried out by others to products supplied by Premier.
34. Unless agreed otherwise prior to acceptance of order, a guarantee period of 12 calendar months is offered to cover defects liability periods from the date of installation and not date of practical completion.
35. Unless stated in the quotation, Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd unit(s) will not provide air permeability or water tightness according to BS EN 12207 and BS EN 12208 respectively.
36. Louvre unit(s) manufactured by Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd have only been tested to security and fire performance standards and will thus not provide a weather performance to BS EN 13030 or equivalent.
37. Assessment or testing of the suitability of substrates or existing structures to accept new loads by Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd’s work does not form part of the quotation and should be by others.
38. The quotation does not allow for any testing or structural calculations unless stated within the quotation.
39. All lead times stated in the quotation are for guidance only and should be confirmed in writing by Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd based on factory loadings at the time of order. Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd will endeavour to improve on lead times where possible.
40. Lead times may change due to sourcing of specialist raw materials in which case schedule will be adjusted at no penalty to Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd.
41. Overall project programmes are to be agreed by Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd in writing prior to acceptance of order.
42. Unless specifically requested, heat soak testing for glazed units is not included within the quotation.
43. Visual glass and polycarbonate defects are deemed acceptable if not visible from a viewing distance of 3 metres in normal daylight excluding the 50mm band around the free area of the glazed unit according to Glass & Glazing Federation guidelines.
44. Following formal inspection of installed unit(s), Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd do not take responsibility for any damage caused by others post installation of units.
45. Following formal inspection and checks, faulty component(s) are to be replaced by Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd at no extra cost. The replacement component will initially be paid in full by the client and immediately credited upon receival of faulty component(s) to Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd.
46. For supply only contracts, Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd can install replacement component(s) at a cost provided through an additional quotation.
47. Any changes to the opening structure(s) post survey, Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd hold the right to suspend production and / or installation of the security rated unit(s) until resolution has been reached. Additional costs arising from such an occurrence would require a written instruction for the variation and agreement in writing of our subsequent quotation for the varied works before commencing upon same.
48. For supply only quotations:
48.1. The client will hold full responsibility for assessing the suitability of the substrate(s) to which the security rated unit(s) manufactured by Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd will be fitted to.
48.2. Certification will only be issued to the client once photographic evidence has been provided by the client that security rated unit(s) manufactured by Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd have been installed in accordance with Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd’s certification. If evidence is
deemed unsatisfactory to Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd and refitting by Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd is required, a daily rate of £1,200 per van / team or pre agreed fee through an additional quotation will be supplied to the client.
49. A nominal gap is allowed between Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd’s door frame and structure which must not be less than 10mm and must not exceed 30mm.
50. Fire rated units must be fitted to suitable substrates. Ideally homogeneous concrete, concrete blockwork, masonry or insulated steel columns. If fire rated units are to be fitted to stud walls, they need to be of the same or higher fire resistance as the fire rated unit.
51. All openings must be subject to a site survey by Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd to examine suitability of structure prior to production of drawings and fabrication works commencing.
52. Any changes to the opening structure(s) post survey, Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd hold the right to suspend production and / or installation of the fire rated unit(s) until resolution has been reached. Additional costs arising from such an occurrence would require a written instruction for the variation and agreement in writing of our subsequent quotation for the varied works before commencing upon same.
53. For supply only quotations:
53.1. The client will hold full responsibility for assessing the suitability of the substrate(s) to which the fire rated unit(s) manufactured by Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd will be fitted to.
53.2. Certification will only be issued to the client once photographic evidence has been provided by the client that fire rated unit(s) manufactured by Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd have been installed in accordance with Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd’s certification. If evidence is deemed unsatisfactory to Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd and refitting by Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd is required, a daily rate of £1,200 per van / team or pre agreed fee through an additional quotation will be supplied to the client.
54. Under The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and recommendations from the Grenfell Report, a minimum of one quarterly inspection on all fire rated units is required. Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd can provide maintenance and servicing through an additional quotation.
55. Under the harmonised standard BS EN 16005 and other relevant standards available at the time, Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd hold the right to issue an unsafe warning notice and not complete the commissioning of an automated door. The client will hold full responsibility for turning on an unsafe unit.
56. Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd can provide maintenance and servicing through an additional quotation.
57. Under the European Machinery Directive, Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008 and Health & Safety at Work etc Act 1974, Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd hold the right to issue an unsafe warning notice and not completed the commissioning of an automated gate. The client will hold full responsibility for turning on an unsafe unit.
58. Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd can provide maintenance, servicing and annual pressure tests through an additional quotation.
