Premier Security & Fire is delighted to announce that door entry and video door entry equipment manufacturers ISM Ltd has been awarded Secured by Design certification after collaborating with Premier during recent testing with the British Research Establishment (BRE).
Secured by Design is an official police security initiative which aims to prevent crime through design innovations. It has achieved some significant successes including one million homes built to SBD standards with reductions in crime of up to 87%.
ISM’s door entry and access systems were thoroughly tested in conjunction with doors and security gates to LPS1175 SR2 standard designed and fabricated by Premier Security & Fire and play a significant part in our designs for the UK’s only fully integrated SBD certified communal entrance steel door sets combined with letter plates and entry systems.
The SBD certification awarded to ISM Ltd products (Compact, Classic 2000 and Ultimate 3000) demonstrates their ongoing commitment to security advances and innovative design which the company has focused on, bringing exceptional expertise to the door entry market.
Premier Managing Director Neil Johns and USM MD Stephen Smith envisage future collaborations with Mr Johns commenting: ”Our partnership with USM in testing with the BRE and Secured by Design helps to bring new certificated products to the market which is something the industry currently demands. Developers, consultants and installers are all looking towards Secured by Design products from the planning stage onwards. Premier currently has more than 200 SBD designs with many more planned.”
