We are so proud of young Elise Lazarus who is part of the Premier-sponsored sports stable currently competing at the top level.
Elise, aged just 16, has just returned from New Zealand where she helped England claim a bronze medal at the World Junior Team Squash Championships.
The Egyptian girls claimed gold but Elise and her team mates, Alice Green, also from Essex, Jazz Hutton and Lucy Turmel were roundly praised for their performances in the town of Tauranga which saw them lose just one match, to Malaysia in the semi finals.
It was an amazing experience for Elise, continuing a remarkable run of recent success which has seen her become the first British player for four years to reach the final of the prestigious British Junior Open, the world’s number one junior tournament.
Following that success Elise, from Woodford Green, won the English Junior title in Birmingham before helping England to the European Teams title in Portugal. She was also crowned British U23 champion.
An amazing year, but we are convinced there is so much more to come from this remarkable young lady.
