Premier Security & Fire welcomed six Design Out Crime Officers (DOCO’s) to our offices and engineering works in Hainault, Essex last week as part of our ongoing engagement with Secured by Design police officers who specialise in designing out crime and who liaise with local authority planners, developers and architects.
Premier MD Neil Johns met with officers from the Metropolitan Police South East Region to discuss the latest certificated Secured by Design products available to the market, including Premier’s LPS1175 SR2 and LPS2019 SRB thermally broken and fire-rated communal entrance steel door sets.
The DOCO’s were given a tour of Premier’s engineering plant, including our 10 welding bays, in-house shot-blasting and powder-coating divisions, fabrication and pre-hang departments and our new state-of-the-art CNC drilling and saw machines.
Following a CPD presentation detailing Premier’s range of more than 200 Secured by Design products, there was a healthy information exchange where the DOCO’s highlighted problems areas encountered on site visits that could be overcome by design and engineering.
Afterwards, Mr Johns commented:” Premier has been a member of Secured by Design for more than eight years and we feel it is vital to listen to the DOCO’s who are the people at the sharp end of the operation.
“Their experience and knowledge is second to none and I believe both parties benefit from the mutual exchange of views and information.”
