Matchroom Boxing & Premier Security & Fire Consultants
Premier Security & Fire MD Neil Johns was bowled over by the enthusiasm and passion of sports events promoter Barry Hearn as he introduced a group of East London business people to a fantastic youth project in the Barking and Dagenham area of London.
Barry, founder and President of promotions company Matchroom Boxing, who are involved in many sports including snooker, boxing, darts, pool, tenpin bowling, golf, and fishing, is a patron of The Future, Barking and Dagenham Youth Zone, a charity offering a safe place for young people to spend their leisure time, inspiring young people to live healthier, happier and more aspirational lives.
Listening to Barry talk about his early life growing up in Dagenham and going on to become one of the world’s top sports promoters was hugely entertaining and incredibly inspiring. And one particular sound-bite he used is something that resonated with Neile hugely. “Complacency is the cancer of business.”
