Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd

Ballistic and blast resistant doors, Windows & HVM Across Australia

Premier Security Ballistic & Blast Ltd supplies ballistic and blast resistant doors to architects, specifiers and contractors working on projects across Australia. Every assembly is manufactured and tested at our UK facility before export, giving Australian specifiers access to the same independently tested protection used on government, defence and critical infrastructure projects in the UK and internationally.

Our Export Division supports Australian projects from initial specification through to delivery, working alongside local contractors, security consultants and building certifiers to confirm the correct rating for the threat assessment before manufacture begins.

Government & Defence

Ballistic, blast and forced-entry protection for government buildings, defence facilities and diplomatic missions.

Oil, Gas & LNG

Blast resistant doors for LNG plants, gas processing and refinery sites where industrial explosion is a design risk.

Mining & Resources

Forced-entry and blast resistant doors for control rooms, switch rooms and secure stores at mining and processing sites.

Critical Infrastructure

Combined forced-entry, ballistic and blast protection for energy, water, data centre and transport facilities.

Why Specify Premier Security in Australia

Independently Tested

Every rating is independently tested and certified rather than self-declared, giving specifiers verifiable evidence for tender and compliance documentation.

Combined Protection

Forced-entry, ballistic and blast ratings can be specified together where an Australian project faces more than one threat, with each rating backed by its own independent test.

Export Support

Our Export Division manages documentation, freight and local coordination, working with Australian contractors on the ground through to installation.

Ballistic and Blast Resistant Doors in Australia: FAQs

Are your ballistic doors suitable for Australian projects?

The Australian Standard for bullet resistant panels, AS/NZS 2343, has been withdrawn without a direct replacement. Premier Security door assemblies are tested to the European standard EN 1522/1523, with glazing tested to EN 1063, and we supply the full test evidence so security consultants and certifiers can confirm acceptance against each project's requirements.

How are blast ratings expressed?

Our blast resistant assemblies are tested to ISO 16933, an open-air arena test using real explosive charges. Each EXV classification describes the blast severity, based on a vehicle bomb at a set standoff distance, and is paired with a hazard rating from A (no break) to F (high hazard) describing the risk to people inside the building.

Can forced-entry, ballistic and blast ratings be combined?

Yes. Each threat is tested separately, and a rating against one threat does not imply resistance to another. Where a project needs protection against more than one threat, we specify assemblies holding each required rating, such as our Ultimate High Security Curtain Walling, which combines LPS 1175 SR5/E10 certification with ballistic, blast and vehicle impact testing.

How do you supply projects in Australia?

All assemblies are manufactured and tested at our UK facility. Our Export Division manages documentation, freight and coordination with Australian contractors, and confirms the correct rating against the project threat assessment before manufacture begins.
